From the recording Wayfaring Stranger - sample

From the first time that I heard the Native American flute, I knew that I had to have one. This flute was made for me by one of the finest Native American flute carvers in the Pacific Northwest, Loomis. The wood is Sitka Spruce, hence its rich tones. The song, Wayfaring Stranger, is an old spiritual that depicts a man wandering through life and longing for the time when he will meet his Creator. The words acknowledge that life will have its difficulties, but that in the end, all will be as God intended.
